Préparation

  1. Marinate chicken in yogurt, garam masala and ginger-garlic paste for at least 30 minutes.

  2. Sear the chicken in a hot pan until charred at the edges; set aside.

  1. Melt butter, soften the onion, then add cumin and remaining spices for 1 minute.

  2. Add tomato puree and simmer 10 minutes until thickened.

  3. Stir in cream, return the chicken and simmer 8 minutes. Finish with fresh coriander.

💡 Astuces

For real smokiness, char the marinated chicken under a hot grill. Thighs stay juicier than breast.

📝 Notes

Serve with basmati rice or warm naan. Tastes even better the next day.

Questions fréquentes

How spicy is it?

Mild-medium as written. Add fresh chilli or cayenne to taste.

Dairy-free option?

Use coconut yogurt and coconut cream — it changes the flavour slightly but works well.

Tasted just like our favourite restaurant. Charred the chicken under the grill.
